Vlocity Wins Leading Lights “Company of the Year” Award

AUSTIN, Texas — May 16, 2017 – The 2017 Leading Lights Awards winners have been announced at a gala dinner attended by hundreds of communications industry executives at Brazos Hall in Austin, Texas. The dinner was held on the eve of the Big Communications Event (BCE), which was held at the Austin Convention Center on May 16, 2017.

Vlocity was awarded “Company of the Year” by Leading Lights.  This coveted recognition is “awarded to the privately held firm that stands out from its competitors, innovates constantly, makes investors proud, and makes employees happy.”

In accepting the award, J.J. Jakubik, Vlocity Chief Architect, stated: “On behalf of our customers, our partners and from all of us at Vlocity, we are very pleased to accept this award from Light Reading, a leading information and editorial resource for communications industry executives. This award is further testimony to the importance of industry cloud apps, and recognizes the tremendous business benefits that Vlocity communications and media customers are realizing by moving to the industry cloud.”

Vlocity delivers cloud and mobile software that embed industry-specific functionality and processes for customer-centric industries. Built in partnership with Salesforce, the world’s #1 CRM company, Vlocity enables companies to deliver an omnichannel experience, achieve greater sales and service agility, and capture faster value from the cloud.

Vlocity was the only cloud company to win a category in the 2017 Leading Lights Awards.

The winners were chosen following the judging of hundreds of submissions in 23 categories, which this year included recognition for those companies making progress in 5G strategy, digital enablement and technology vision as well as NFV, IoT, SDN and all of the traditional Leading Lights categories. The finalists were announced in April. The latest additions to Light Reading's Hall of Fame were also announced at the awards dinner.
