People Are the Core: Vlocity Statement on the Coronavirus
One of our core values at Vlocity is “People Are the Core”, and our top priority is the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners.
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, a number of us are living and working in countries and communities around the world affected by the outbreak. Therefore, we are taking precautions for the month of March.
In accordance with CDC guidance, and in order to help reduce any potential risk for Vlociters everywhere, we are discontinuing all cross-border business travel for the month of March, and are limiting domestic work travel to business critical matters only.
Additionally, we are asking employees to convert customer-facing events to digital experiences whenever possible, and to avoid professional conferences or large group gatherings with more than 50 attendees. This is a good time to take advantage of the video feature when conducting a conference call.
Here are some tips that we have shared with our teams to keep yourself and others healthy:
If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness of any kind, please work from home or stay home and rest. Doing so will make it easier for everyone to confidently come to the office without fears of getting sick. Please do not return to the office until you have fully recovered. If you are going to work from home for an extended period of time, please remember to stock up on food, water and medications as appropriate.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing or visiting the restroom. Do the same before eating or preparing food. If hand-washing is not possible, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60-95% alcohol.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, throw the tissue away and immediately wash your hands.
As accustomed as many of us are to greeting one another with a friendly handshake, for the sake of good health, it is acceptable to avoid handshakes until the threat has passed.
Clean your own workstation with the cleaning agents available from a member of your local team.
We will revisit these policies at the end of March to determine any next steps.
Again, our first priority is the safety and well-being of our Vlociters, their loved ones, our customers, and our partners. Thank you for your cooperation and help as we work to safeguard our communities from further impact.
