Vlocity has been working with KPN since 2017 to help the company on its B2B business transformation specifically, starting with its small & medium enterprise (SME) customer segment. At the time, fixed line and mobile voice revenues were in decline. KPN’s strategy focused on simplifying its B2B product portfolio, processes and IT systems, and launching a new multi-play offer called “KPN EEN Business.” KPN selected a comprehensive suite of omnichannel, digital Cloud BSS applications from Vlocity and Salesforce and executed its transformation program with support from Vlocity, Salesforce and Cognizant.

The Results

What began with a rapid 15-week proof-of-concept to demonstrate the Vlocity/Salesforce solution’s capabilities, soon turned into a full deployment. In just five months, a streamlined, omnichannel customer experience solution was in production with 500 KPN sales and service professionals. KPN’s results have been outstanding:

  • 47-point increase in NPS
  • 250% growth in orders
  • 37% growth in multi-play service revenue
  • 80% product simplification
  • 25% reduction in IT systems
  • 57% reduction in delivery cost
  • 64% reduction in service cost
  • €500M cost savings (2014-2017)
