Second Straight Year Winner for Industry Cloud Apps Company
Vlocity is Built on Salesforce, Which Garnered Highest Ranking Out of 131 CRM Companies
Now in its ninth year, the CRM Watchlist Award is the brainchild of CRM thought leader, Paul Greenberg, with a sole mission: to recognize companies impacting the markets they serve
SAN FRANCISCO – March 1, 2016 – Vlocity, a leading industry cloud software company, today announced it has been named a “Winner” in the 2016 CRM Watchlist. Assembled annually by noted CRM author and analyst Paul Greenberg, the CRM Watchlist is a highly anticipated industry measuring stick for the best-of-the-best in the CRM business. This year’s winners include Salesforce, Adobe and other leading companies, with Salesforce topping the list with the highest aggregate score of any company.
Greenberg’s stated goal for the 2016 list was to measure the overall impact of each organization on the CRM industry and CRM customers. As part of that examination, he reviewed company management and financials, technology practices and expertise, leadership, key customer and partner relationships, market impact, and thought leadership as criteria.
“The company has to be well rounded -- it has to have financial stability, solid management, excellent products and services, culture, and a strong partner ecosystem to help sustain its efforts. It has to have a clear vision and mission and also clear-cut strategies to get external forces - customers, analysts, journalists, prospects, etc. - engaged,” Greenberg stated in a recent article.
“We are thrilled and honored that Vlocity has been named a winner in the 2016 CRM Watchlist,” said David Schmaier, Founder and CEO, Vlocity. “With more than 130 total entries and just a shortlist of winners, we view this award as yet another validation of the incredible impact Salesforce is having in the world, and the tremendous progress Vlocity has made with our products, in the market, and with customers. We remain focused on transforming customer engagement with industry-specific cloud solutions built on the Salesforce platform, and look forward to making a continued positive impact in the CRM industry.”
“It’s a great honor to be given the highest ranking in the 2016 CRM Watchlist, but it’s even more exciting to see one of our most important partners, Vlocity, also land so high on the list,” said Tyler Prince, EVP of Worldwide Channels and Alliances, Salesforce. “This is a testament to the power of the Salesforce platform and how it has enabled companies of all sizes to transform their businesses.”
This marks the second year in a row in which Vlocity has won this prestigious award, with the company performing well across all metrics. In the 2015 CRM Watchlist awards, Vlocity received an Honorable Mention award and Company to Watch designation with its first CRM Watchlist submission. In the last two years, Vlocity has launched four industry-specific cloud apps on the Salesforce AppExchange, signed more than 40 commercial agreements with leading global companies, created a network of more than 100 partners, built a world-class team of industry, mobile and cloud experts, and won numerous industry awards.
“Paul Greenberg’s extensive analysis of CRM providers is the deepest review in our industry. Vlocity is delighted to receive this incredible award and recognition for our company, our products and our people,” said Rip Gerber, Chief Marketing and Alliances Officer, Vlocity. “We accept this award on behalf of all our customers across all the verticals we serve in communications and media, insurance, health insurance, and the government sector. Our back-to-back wins are also testimony to the historic IT transformation underway as companies move away from legacy, on-premise CRM systems to powerful and agile industry cloud apps built on the world’s #1 CRM platform, Salesforce.”
